I have over a decade of industry experience, generating and developing creative solutions for organisations and individuals, across a wide variety of sectors.
I approach my craft with a curious approach — examining a brief for opportunities to make an impact, improve the experience and add value for everyone involved.
Following a successful internship with the Australian design studio Envelope Group, I became a full-time member of the team, establishing myself as the studio’s digital designer, producing websites and digital communications for clients.
I returned to Scotland to further my design education at Edinburgh Napier University, graduating with a 2:1 honours degree. Throughout my studies, I continued to collaborate with the Envelope Group team remotely.
A half-year exchange with Aalto University in Helsinki provided the opportunity to experiment with traditional analogue processes, such as screen-printing and letter-press, as well as with cutting edge creative coding technologies.
Continuing my collaboration with Envelope Group, I began to grow my freelance design practice with a focus on web design and development. Working directly with clients, designers and other agencies, I gained valuable experience in managing projects and managing stakeholder needs.
As a designer who codes, I bring a unique understanding to my work — I strive to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces that engage and delight users in every project. My background in graphic design ensures the value of thoughtfully translated brand guidelines is never lost.
All communications require a carefully crafted message and clear purpose: I help organisations communicate effectively using design and structure as a tool to champion their message. With a rich background in print design, my methods resolve accurate, on-brand communications which leave a lasting impression.
