Challenge

Following a complete rebranding, this busy Melbourne based gallery looked to modernise and streamline their website. Thirty years of exhibitions and artists were included in the archive, each catalogued and made available to visitors. A simple CMS allows gallery staff to keep the site up to date and follow up enquiries with ease.

The site design is informed by a new brand architecture which extends from shop signage through to printed catalogues.

Each artist is provided with a personal profile page, complete with biography and any works exhibited at the gallery over the decades.

Detailed artwork information and availability indicators help to encourage visitors to make enquiries. A centralised database of artworks ensures the team can quickly update the status of available pieces.

EDITORIAL

The website creates an exciting new space for longer, editorial-style artist profiles, exhibition essays and news items. Together with the physical galleries, this digital hub forms an important part of the conversation-starting programme hosted by the artists, gallery team and other contributors.
